경기도가 새롭게 조성한 ‘여성가족기금’을 활용해 성평등 확산과 가족 지원을 위한 정책 사업을 본격 추진한다.

경기도는 올해 여성가족기금 9억 원을 투입해 성평등 공모사업, 아이돌보미 교육, 부모학교 운영, 다자녀가정 우대 정책, 1인가구 지원 등 5개 분야 사업을 추진한다고 밝혔다.

여성가족기금은 2023년 말 존속기한이 만료된 성평등기금을 대체하기 위해 마련된 재원이다. 경기도는 기존 기금 폐지 이후에도 여성과 가족 관련 정책이 중단되지 않도록 ‘경기도 여성가족기금 설치 및 운용 조례’를 제정해 기금을 새로 조성했다. 기금은 성평등 실현과 가족친화 환경 조성, 돌봄 서비스 품질 향상, 다양한 가족 형태 지원 등에 활용된다.

우선 6억5천만 원을 투입하는 성평등 공모사업을 통해 가족친화 사회문화 조성, 성별 기반 폭력 예방, 여성 사회참여 확대 등 지역사회 성평등 환경 조성을 위한 사업을 지원한다.
