경기도의회 정윤경 부의장(더불어민주당, 군포1)이 지난 9월 3일 경기도의회 더불어민주당 대표단 회의실에서 열린 ‘경기도 노후도시 재정비 지원제도 개선방안 연구’ 최종보고회에 참석해 “도시 재정비 과정에서 주민 피해를 막기 위해 맞춤형 교육과 정보 제공이 절실하다”고 강조했다.

협성대학교 산학협력단이 수행한 이번 연구는 경기도 내 노후도시를 4가지 유형으로 분류하고, 주민 교육의 한계와 개선점을 분석해 향후 제도적 지원을 위한 조례 개정 방향을 제시했다.

정윤경 부의장은 “노후도시 재정비에서 가장 큰 피해자는 60~70대 어르신들”이라며 “단순 교육을 넘어 이해도 확인과 수요 맞춤형 교육이 필요하다”고 지적했다. 또 “정비사업이 상당 부분 진행된 뒤 ‘이런 건 줄 몰랐다’는 주민들의 하소연이 가장 안타깝다”며, “이번 연구가 공정하고 투명한 재정비 과정으로 이어져야 한다”고 말했다.

정윤경 부의장은 지난 7월 ‘원도심 재개발 사업 추진 시 경기도의 공적지원’을 주제로 정책토론회를 개최하며, 현장 중심의 제도 개선을 꾸준히 제안해왔다. 정 부의장은 “도민이 체감할 수 있는 정책 마련을 위해 현장과 제도를 잇는 가교 역할을 하겠다”고 밝혔다.
