경기도의회 정윤경 부의장(더불어민주당, 군포1)이 지난 9월 26일 파주에서 열린 ‘제36회 경기도생활체육대축전 2025 파주’ 개막식에 참석해 성공적인 대회 개최를 축하하고 선수단을 격려했다.

올해 대회는 31개 시·군에서 2만1,000여 명의 선수와 임원이 참가해 총 27개 종목에서 열띤 경기를 펼쳤다.

정윤경 부의장은 축사에서 “이 자리에 모인 우리 모두의 함성은 경기장을 넘어 경기도 전체, 나아가 한반도의 평화까지 울려 퍼질 것”이라며 대회의 의미를 강조했다.

또한 대회의 상징 캐릭터 ‘파랑이’가 평화를 상징하는 비둘기에서 착안한 점을 언급하며 “이번 대회가 평화와 화합의 상징으로 경기도민 모두의 마음을 하나로 모으는 축제가 되길 바란다”고 전했다.

정윤경 부의장은 이번 대회에 앞서 지난주 ‘경기도장애인생활체육대회’에도 참석한 바 있다. 그는 “생활체육은 나이, 성별, 장애 유무를 넘어 모두가 함께 즐길 수 있는 가장 평등한 무대”라며, “생활체육의 가치를 널리 확산시키고 도민 모두가 건강한 일상을 누릴 수 있도록 경기도의회가 힘을 보태겠다”고 밝혔다.

이어 “3일간 펼쳐질 모든 경기가 승패를 넘어 우정을 나누고 건강한 공동체를 만드는 귀한 시간이 되길 기대한다”며, “도의회 역시 도민의 행복과 건강을 위해 든든한 동반자가 되겠다”고 덧붙였다.
