과천종합사회복지관이 주관한 ‘꿀벌마을 비닐하우스 화재 이재민 돕기 성금 모금 캠페인’에 7,900만원의 성금이 걷혔다.

과천시는 지난 4월 10일 “3월 22일 발생한 꿀벌마을 비닐하우스 화재로 피해를 입은 이재민 지원을 위해 2주간 진행된 긴급 모금 캠페인을 통해 총 7,900여 만 원의 성금이 모아졌다”고 밝혔다.

과천시 꿀벌마을에서는 이번 화재로 총 54세대, 70명이 피해를 입었으며, 이 중 25세대 32명은 현재 임시 거주시설에서 생활 중이다. 모금된 후원금은 과천종합사회복지관을 통해 화재 피해자들의 대책 마련에 사용될 예정이다.

이번 모금 캠페인에는 극동방송 NGO단체 선한청지기(3,000만 원), 원천침례교회(1,000만 원), ㈜씨엔종합건설(1,000만 원) 등 기업과 단체, 시민이 참여해 총 33건의 성금이 모였다.

10일에도 주암1통, 무지개교육마을, 과천시약사회, 남태령 경로당, 대한노인회과천시지부 등의 관계자가 신계용 시장 집무실을 찾아 성금을 전달했다.

신계용 과천시장은 “갑작스러운 화재로 큰 피해를 입은 이웃들을 위해 온정을 보내주신 모든 분들께 감사드린다”며 “기탁된 성금이 이재민들에게 온전히 전달될 수 있도록 과천시와 복지관이 함께 투명하게 관리할 것”이라고 말했다.
