과천시가 경기도시장상권진흥원이 주관하는 ‘2025년 경기도 상권친화형 도시 조성 사업’ Ⅰ유형의 최종 대상지로 선정돼 2027년까지 총 7억5,000만 원의 도비를 확보했다고 지난 8월 7일 발표했다.

‘2025년 경기도 상권친화형 도시 조성 사업’은 지역 상권 실태조사를 기반으로 한 종합계획 수립과 시범사업을 통해 지속가능한 상권 구조를 마련하는 데 목적이 있다.

과천시는 올해 우선 도비 1억5,000만 원을 교부받고, 시비 1억5,500만원을 추가로 투입해 연말까지 연구용역과 맞춤형 시범사업을 추진한다.
