경기도의회 도시환경위원회 김옥순 의원(더불어민주당, 비례)이 지난 9월 23일 경기도의회 의왕상담소에서 의왕시 청소년재단 전천성 사무국장, 청소년수련관 윤여원 관장 등과 함께 청소년 시설 서비스 향상 및 지역 현안을 논의하는 간담회를 가졌다.

이날 참석자들은 고천·오전지구 개발로 인한 청소년 활동 및 상담 수요 증가에 대비해 수련관 내 활동·참여 공간 확충, 옥상 야외체험 공간 조성 등 다양한 지원 방안을 모색했다. 또한 지역 청소년들이 직면한 문제를 공유하며 실질적 대안을 자유롭게 논의했다.

김옥순 의원은 “청소년들이 더 나은 환경에서 꿈을 펼칠 수 있도록 지원을 아끼지 않겠다”고 밝혔다. 청소년재단 관계자들은 “의회의 관심과 지원에 큰 기대를 갖는다”고 화답했다.

경기도의회는 이번 간담회에서 제기된 의견을 면밀히 검토해 청소년 지원 방안을 구체화할 계획이다.

Gyeonggi Provincial Council Member Kim Ok-soon Holds Meeting to Improve Youth Facility Services and Local Issues

On September 23, Gyeonggi Provincial Council Urban Environment Committee Member Kim Ok-soon (Democratic Party of Korea, proportional representation) held a meeting at the Uiwang Counseling Center with Jeon Cheon-seong, Secretary General of the Uiwang Youth Foundation, and Yoon Yeo-won, Director of the Youth Training Center, to discuss improving youth facility services and local issues.

Attendees explored various support measures to address the increased demand for youth activities and counseling due to the development of the Gocheon and Ojeon districts, including expanding activity and participation spaces within the training center and creating a rooftop outdoor experience space. They also shared challenges faced by local youth and freely discussed practical solutions.

Council Member Kim Ok-soon stated, "We will spare no effort in supporting youth to achieve their dreams in a better environment."
