경기도의회 김옥순 의원(더불어민주당, 비례)이 지난 8월 11일 열린 2025년 제2회 의왕지역교육협력 지역협의회에서 호선으로 위원장에 선출됐다.

제2기 의왕지역교육협력 지역협의회는 김옥순 의원을 비롯해 의왕시의원, 교직원, 학부모 등 13명으로 구성되며, 지역 교육자원을 활용해 학생 맞춤형 교육을 실현하고 교육의 공공성을 높이는 정책을 심의·자문하는 기구.

이날 회의에서는 △학생 맞춤형 교육을 통한 교육 격차 해소, △교육 공동체 역량 강화, △글로컬 융합 인재 양성 등 2025년 미래교육협력지구 운영 현황을 심의했다.

김옥순 위원장은 “위원들과 함께 아이들의 성장을 위한 교육 생태계를 만들고, 지역의 미래를 설계하는 플랫폼 역할에 최선을 다하겠다”며, “지역사회·학교·학부모가 협력해 학생들이 미래 사회에서 당당히 꿈을 펼칠 수 있도록 지원하겠다”고 말했다.

Gyeonggi Provincial Council Member Kim Ok-soon (Democratic Party of Korea, proportional representation) was elected chairperson by a majority vote at the 2nd Uiwang Regional Education Cooperation Council meeting for 2025, held on August 11th.

The 2nd Uiwang Regional Education Cooperation Council, comprised of 13 members including Council Member Kim, Uiwang City Council members, faculty, and parents, will deliberate and advise on policies that utilize local educational resources to implement personalized education for students and enhance the public nature of education.

The meeting discussed the current status of the 2025 Future Education Cooperation District, including: eliminating the education gap through personalized education, strengthening the capacity of the educational community, and fostering global convergence talent. Rep. Kim Ok-soon said, “I will do my best to create an educational ecosystem that fosters children’s growth together with the committee members and serve as a platform for designing the future of the region,” and added, “I will support the local community, schools, and parents to work together so that students can confidently pursue their dreams in the future society.”
