안양시와 안양대학교가 청년친화도시 조성을 비롯한 청년정책 추진을 위해 손을 맞잡았다.

안양시가 9월 12일 오전 시청 3층 상황실에서 안양대학교와 ‘청년과 함께하는 지역사회 가치창출 상호협력을 위한 업무협약(MOU)’을 체결했다.

이번 협약을 통해 양 기관은 지역 청년 현안 해결 방안을 공동 모색하고, 청년친화도시 조성을 위한 각종 청년정책 사업을 추진하는 과정에서 긴밀히 협력하기로 약속했다. 주요 협력 내용은 △안양시 청년사업(청년친화도시 조성·청년네트워크 등) 참여 및 지원, △안양대 주관 지역사회 가치창출 프로그램에 대한 행정 지원, △청년정책 활성화를 위한 대외 홍보 등이다.

안양시는 이번 협약이 청년들이 지역사회에서 안정적으로 자립하고 도전할 수 있는 기반을 마련하는 계기가 될 것으로 기대하고 있다.

협약식에는 최대호 안양시장과 장광수 안양대 총장을 비롯해 양 기관 관계자들이 참석했다.

최대호 안양시장은 “청년이 행복해야 도시가 발전할 수 있다”며, “이번 협약은 안양시와 안양대학교가 청년을 위해 함께 비전을 세우고 실천해 나가겠다는 약속으로, 청년들이 안양에서 마음껏 도전하고 성장할 수 있도록 청년친화도시 안양을 만드는데 박차를 가하겠다”고 밝혔다.
